Arin Salisbury

Arin is a licensed clinical counselor who received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her Master of Science in Clinical-Counseling Psychology at Illinois State University. She began her career providing counseling services in a small town community agency. She was given the opportunity to work with clients ranging in age from 4 to 70+ years old with a variety of presenting concerns, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, anger, substance use and life adjustment issues. Arin has worked with individuals, couples and families and has experience with group therapy as well.

Arin strongly believes our life experiences shape who we are. Her goal as a therapist is to build on the strengths clients already possess and to explore the unhealthy patterns of thinking and behavior that keep one stuck. Arin works to provide a warm and supportive therapeutic environment. She's determined to meet clients where they are and collaborate with them to discover their own path toward recovery and wellness. Arin's therapeutic approach is strengths-based and solution-focused.

In addition to counseling, Arin spends time giving back to her community by volunteering at the American Red Cross and Hooked on Fishing (an organization aimed at providing a free fishing experience for children, elderly and those who are disabled). Arin also enjoys reading, running and spending time with her husband and dogs, Dempsey and Daisy.
