Christine Schilz

Christine is a Licensed Clinical counselor who received her bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration and her master's degree from University of Illinois-Springfield in Human Development Counseling.

She began her career has a juvenile probation officer and realized that she wanted to help individuals in a more therapeutic, holistic way, so she retuned to graduate school and knew right away that she was where she belongs. Christine believes in meeting people where they are at and walking the journey with them to self-exploration and finding their way back to their authentic selves.

Christine has experience working with several psychiatric and personality disorders, a few examples would be chemical and process addictions, trauma, sexual abuse, juvenile and adult sex offenders, anxiety, depression, anger management, transgender, and gay and lesbian issues, just to name a few.

Christine works with children through adulthood. Her approach to counseling is warm, compassionate, listening, with a bit of tough love. Christine is solution focused, and wants to assist the client to get what they feel they need from each and every counseling session. Christine strives to assist you in every way possible to achieve the best results possible, to gain balance and stability in your life.
