Jana Grooms is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in 1992 from Eastern Illinois University and a Master of Arts in Human Development Counseling from Bradley University in 2004. In addition, Jana is also a Licensed Sex Offender Evaluator and Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Provider.
Jana began her career as a residential counselor at the Peoria Children's Home. Since that time she has held a variety of clinical and administrative positions. Jana has maintained a small office working primarily with sexual offenders and sexual abuse victims. She regularly attends clinical trainings and implements evidenced based treatment modalities in every session.
Jana brings to the counseling setting high expectations and high compassion. She believes that everyone deserves a chance at a better, hopeful life and fully conveys this to her clientele. Jana uses a variety of therapy techniques, including trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy and believes that the treatment modality should be tailored to the individual client's needs.
Jana is a dedicated professional with a flexible schedule. She enjoys traveling, reading and competing in 5ks.
