Julie Anne Witkowski

Julie is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who received her Masters degree in Human Development Counseling from Bradley University. She has provided services to individuals, couples, families and groups for the last 20 years in a variety of settings both in Peoria and the Chicago area. She is also a Certified Professional School Counselor, where she works with adolescents throughout the school year. Prior to working in schools, Julie was a Mental Health Clinician at Children's Home Association of Illinois, and Methodist Medical Center's Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program, and provided therapy in a private practice setting.

Julie's therapeutic approach is primarily strengths-based, meaning she believes that people already have the skills they need. Therapy is the process of bringing those skills to the surface and effectively applying them to the presenting problem. She applies integrated therapeutic techniques in a warm and genuine way, to help clients explore troublesome patterns of thinking and behavior, and find solutions that are meaningful and realistic.

Julie aims to meet people where they are, and help them become the best version of their authentic selves. She is very involved with her daughters' activities and enjoys spending time with her friends, her family, and her dog. She embraces opportunities to meet new people, travel to new places, and she is passionate about music.
